When my father had a triple bypass at 56, (I'm 56!) I watched a vital, driven man become fragile almost overnight. When my grandmother lost herself to Alzheimer's starting in her early 60s — piece by piece, year by year — I made a decision. I was not going to wait and hope for the best. I spent years studying human health, longevity, and what science actually says about how we age — earning my PhD and building a career at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and human potential. But the real turning point wasn't academic. It was personal. The women I kept meeting in midlife — accomplished, driven, deeply capable — were quietly disappearing into roles, routines, and a version of themselves they no longer recognized. And the science was clear: the choices we make in our 40s, 50s, and 60s determine everything about how we live in our 70s, 80s, and beyond. That's why I built Fearless After Fifty.
